Women in Conversation (WinC) is a ministry for women of St. Francis to nurture the Spirit of God – alive, growing, and abundant. Our focus is on everyday spirituality and ways that women can lead more meaningful lives. We seek guidance from the Holy Spirit, celebrate community, share stories, support one another, and honor the feminine spirit.

      Guiding Principles

© While a ministry of St. Francis parish, the group is open to all women.

© We are catholic in the universal sense of the word and welcome diverse views.

© Every woman’s experience of God is accepted here.

© Every woman is welcomed with love and acceptance.

© We accept inspiration and wisdom from other faith traditions.

© We seek spiritual connections and opportunities to build meaningful relationships.

© Interaction will be encouraged but there will be no forced personal sharing.

© We are not a networking group or a place to promote one’s business.

© We are not a woman’s club or solely a social gathering.

© We hope that women will experience deep conversations, new insights, and be led to serve as Christ served.

      Specific Information about our Gatherings

We gather 5 or 6 times a year, on a Saturday morning from 8:45 to 11 am. In addition to sharing conversation and stories, we share light refreshments, music and prayers.

Our name describes our gatherings – we are women having conversations, in small groups. We listen to the stories of other women, and we share our thoughts, our feelings and our own stories. We encourage one another along our unique faith journeys, and we search together for God at work in our lives.

Each gathering focuses on a theme, and includes one or more women sharing stories from their own life with the whole group. Themes over the past few years have included:

      · Women of the church

      · Franciscan life

      · Do you sing to God?

      · Grief: a journey of love and loss

      · Where the Spirit led us-a migrant center on the border

We welcome all women – come and join us whenever you can! Questions: feel free to contact us at: [email protected]
