FUNDS To the degree that we are able, we all support financially the work of our parish community, whose well-being and propsperity depend entirely on donations from parishioners and friends of St. Francis. Opportunities for giving include: personalized offering envelopes (mailed bi-monthly), and online donations via your checking or savings account or credit card. Offertory (Where the Need is Greatest) Your regular donations support the day-to-day operations of our parish. This support includes a just wage and benefits for our pastor and parish staff, as well as utilities, supplies, insurance, and other programs and ministry needs. Designation Donation: Step Ministry To support our outreach to our homeless brothers and sisters you may designate your donation to our Step Ministry. Through our Step Ministry, St. Francis provides a welcoming and safe overnight sleeping space in our Parish Center courtyard, and a light breakfast for 16 homeless men and women 365 days of the year. Designated Donation: Building Fund To support our efforts to maintain our beautiful, historic church, so that we leave a legacy for future generations of parishioners and visitors, you may designate your donation to our Building Fund. These funds are used for capital improvements—major repairs/maintenance projects. WAYS TO GIVE Personalized Offering Envelopes To receive personalized offering envelopes, you may call or email our Membership Coordinator (membership@stfrancisparish.com or 916-443-8084 x101). Every two months you will receive envelopes by mail. Online Giving Online Giving allows you to make a one-time donation or to sign up to make recurring donations to St. Francis. This service is safe and secure. You can use any major credit card, or any of your checking or savings accounts and the funds will be automatically transferred to our parish bank account. If you sign up for recurring donations, you can start, stop, or change your contributions at any time. You do not need to contact your bank to sign up or to make changes. You can set up regularly scheduled contributions that are withdrawn on the date you specify in the system. You can see reports on your contribution history and generate tax statements at each year's end. Cash or checks may be placed in the offertory basket or mailed to: St. Francis of Assisi Parish The amount you wish to give is a personal decision that must be considered thoughtfully and prayerfully. Financial circumstances differ for each family. Only you can decide what is a generous gift for you to offer St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
