Hail, O Lady, Holy Queen, Mary, holy Mother of God:
You are the Virgin made Church,
and the one chosen by the most Holy Father in heaven
whom He consecrated with His most holy beloved Son
and with the Holy Spirit the Paraclete,
in whom there was and is all the fullness of grace and every good.
Hail, His Palace! Hail, His Tabernacle!
Hail, His Home! Hail, His Robe!
Hail, His Servant! Hail, His Mother!
And Hail, all You holy virtues which through the grace
and light of the Holy Spirit are poured into the hearts of the faithful
that from their faithless state,
you may make them faithful to God.
- A Salution of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
by St. Francis of Assisi

Celebrating the Feast of St. Francis
with a parish Picnic in Oct’ 2024
is Right Around the Corner!
A 2024 Parish Picnic Coordinator is Needed!
Last year's picnic was fun and there were many volunteers to help with food, decorations, set up, and break down. Here is an opportunity for a parishioner to organize this years’s event. The coordinator will have plenty of support.
If interested, please contact
Richard at rah95816@aol.com or Melba at stepping2016stones@gmail.com

Who We Are
Honoring our Franciscan tradition, St. Francis Parish is a Catholic Christian Community building the reign of God in the spirit and path of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. We value vibrant liturgy and personal prayer as a way to worship God and celebrate life.
We are an inclusive community respecting the dignity of all persons and supporting the journey of each person. We respond to the command of Jesus to love by welcoming all, evangelizing, supporting spiritual growth, and being Eucharist to each other.
Challenged by the Holy Spirit, we reach beyond ourselves to care for our neighbors, the poor, the marginalized, and those alienated by our Catholic Church. We aspire to be witnesses and prophets advocating for justice in the world and in the church.

PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS
Lord, make me an
instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not
so much seek
to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are
born to eternal life.
Amen.
While this prayer has always been attributed to St. Francis, the author is actually unknown.
The prayer does wonderfully represent the spirit of St. Francis and the Franciscan Orders.
